Torishima Service Solutions Europe (TSSE) is a company based in Glasgow, Scotland. It is part of the Torishima Group of companies, whose Headquarters are in Japan. TSSE serves Europe, South America & Africa with the repair, service, installation & commissioning of Rotating Equipment. The London Road workshop also carries out a variety of Coating applications for the oil & gas, construction and water industries.

The Workshop Labourer will be required to carry out a variety of tasks in order to support the day to day operations in and around the workshop.

Essential Job Responsibilities

The main job responsibilities and functions of the Workshop Labourer are listed below. The position may require additional duties/responsibilities that may not be outlined below, and specific functions are subject to change.

• Ensure the workshop is kept clean and tidy at all times
• Assist engineers and coatings personnel
• Handle and transport materials and equipment
• Follow instructions from supervisors
• Complete daily vehicle and forklift checklists
• Follow Health, Environmental and Safety guidelines/requirements set by the company and customers.
• Carry out loading and unloading of goods coming in & out
• Prepare goods for dispatch

Qualifications & Requirements

The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to successfully perform this role. However, any equivalent combination of experience, education and training, which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities, would be acceptable, subject to any legal and/or regulatory requirements.

• 5 or more years’ experience in working within a workshop environment.
• Full valid driving licence and good driving record is required.
• Valid forklift licence is beneficial but not essential.
• Familiarity with the use of power tools and machinery..
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
• Resourceful, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Ethical and trustworthy.
