Paul Rhodes Bakery is a multiple award-winning bakery who have been baking since 2003.  We produce a wide range of handcrafted products including artisanal and classic breads, all butter vienoisserie, and a beautiful selection of cakes and pastry items, and deliver these everyday throughout the London region.  We supply directly to over 1000 businesses from famous names such as Dinner by Heston, Fortnum & Mason, Shangri-La Hotels, Youngs pubs, Google and OXO Tower, to name a few, as well as to office caterers, local delis, bakeries and cafes and many more.

Key information:

  • Assist the Head Baker in the production of handmade baked products
  • Experience: Oven, Mixing, Scaling, & Shaping
  • Work as part of the team to ensure that breads are prepared in line with recipe, quality requirements and standards, and are to a high quality consistently every day in line with customer orders.
  • A pro-active personality – who is passionate about good bread, enthusiastic, people-focused and adaptable to all personalities
  • Can-do attitude
  • Organised and able to meet deadlines and work to a schedule/plan
  • Willingness to learn and a hunger to develop their Bakery skills

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 45 hours per week on a rota basis including weekends and bank holidays.

 

Bakery Assistant

What will I be doing on a typical day?

  • Assist bakers in the production of bread products in line with quality requirements and standard operating procedures (this may include shaping, mixing and baking tasks, under supervision).
  • Prepare baking tins and trays for correct product
  • Monitor ingredient levels and report any reordering needs
  • Ensure baking tins and trays are properly stored

What do I need to have to be able to apply for this role?

  • Current, valid UK work rights
  • Baking experience not required, but hospitality or food production experience would be advantageous.

 

Night Packer

What are we looking for in a successful candidate?
- Packing of products and labeling the boxes.
- Attention to detail, ensuring correct items are packed for customers.
- Physical fitness - as this job involves frequent bending, twisting and lifting.
- A positive attitude towards work.
- Punctual, hardworking, and a team player.
Hours of work are 40 per week (including breaks) working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis including
weekends and bank holidays.
Working hours: Evening 17:30 hrs to Midnight/1:30am
